Guns:
Our motto at FTR is that you can never have too many guns. We especially reccoment rifles, the more powerful the better, you dont want to be shooting at the robot army with a 22. We reccommend .223 and .308. Its very important that you have extra guns and cleaning kits as well. It is HIGHLY recommended that you practice shooting and cleaning your guns to get a good feel for them. You will want extras because you dont want to be fixing a broken gun while the machine is at your front door. Also your non-believer friends may not have the brains to prepare like you did, and they will be valuable assets when armed. We will be having more information from our weapons expert, as well as a dedicated section in our forum for guns and ammo suggestions. Shotguns are good but you should only be using slugs.
Be sure that you stock up on plenty of ammo as well. You will also need a reload kit so you can make your own rounds, you may be the hero on your block when the day comes.
Learning to build bombs and booby traps is also very handy. We will not be displaying information as to how to do this yet as we do not want to give the machine an opening to shut us down with a believable excuse. If this site is mysteriously shut down you will know it was because the machine decided it was worth exposing themselves a little to attempt to silence us. Anyone with internet access should be able to find information on creating self defense weapons.
Food:
Canned foods are great. Its also smart to plant your own garden. Learn to hunt your local wildlife. Think ahead. Ask yourself, If I was forced to stay in my stronghold, how long could I hold out till I starved to death. Stock up on spices, good food can help keep your spirits High. Army Rations are good to stock up on as well. Rice is a descent food that is not too bulky and stays good for a long time.
Water:
Water is terribly important to keep. If the robots attacked it is likely they would shut down the water supply. Anyone not next to a water source will be forced to live on their supplies. If you are next to a water source invest in a good water filter as you will cannot depend on the waters quality. Learn purifying techniques and also map out your nearest water sources.
